The Canadian refreshment market recently welcomed a new flavor from the Nestlé Waters Sanpellegrino® Sparking Fruit Beverage product line - Pomegranate Orange. This new refreshment beverage is made of sparkling water, X% orange juice, X% pomegranate juice from concentrate and pure cane sugar. This unusual mix of flavors, tiny, effervescent bubbles and moderate sweetness create an original European flair.

Currently, the Sanpellegrino® Sparkling Fruit Beverage line consists of Aranciata (Sicilian orange), Aranciata Rossa (blood orange), Clementina (Clementine orange), Limonata (lemon), Melograno e Aranciata (pomegranate orange) and Pompelmo (grapefruit), all of which can be found at grocery stores and fine dining venues throughout Canada.

Consumers opt for Sanpellegrino® Sparkling Fruit Beverages to experience their sophisticated taste, which is ensured by the inclusion of high quality citrus juices run through state-of-the-art production techniques, enabling the producer to preserve the nutritional value of the fruit without resorting to additives.

Sanpellegrino® Water dates back to the X century, and has been part of the Nestlé Waters Canada family of brands since X. Aranciata was the first sparkling fruit drink produced by the company. Its flawless combination of Sicilian oranges, sparkling water and sugar ensured its popularity among consumers across the globe.

The exclusivity and the unprecedented taste of this drink derives primarily from its use of imported Italian oranges, designed to emulate the desired taste of freshly squeezed, luscious and radiant Sicilian oranges with a sparkling twist.

Unlike Sanpellegrino®, which prefers to adhere to long-established traditions of using Italian oranges, the majority of international juice producers, tend to opt for Brazilian oranges, and because of that, Brazil continues to lead the way in the global orange juice trade. In 2014, Brazil exported X thousand tons of orange juice totaling X million USD, X% under the previous year. Its primary trading partner on the global orange juice market was Belgium, where it supplied X% of its total orange juice exports in value terms, accounting for X% of Belgium's total imports.

From 2007 to 2014, Brazil was a net exporter of orange juice. Over this period, exports consistently exceeded imports in value terms. However, in physical terms, the difference was less pronounced.

Belgium and the Netherlands were among the other main global suppliers of orange juice in 2014. However, the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2014 were the United Kingdom (+X% per year) and Mexico (+X% per year). Mexico, by virtue of this sustained growth, was able to strengthen its position in the global export structure.

Brazil's top X trading partners in 2014 were Belgium, the Netherlands, the U.S., Japan and China, with a combined share X% of Brazil's orange juice exports. The share of the Netherlands increased (+X percentage points), while the share of Belgium illustrated slight negative dynamics (-X percentage point).
