The announcement was made at the annual developer summit in Indonesia and is part of Alibaba's overarching strategy to increase its investment in overseas key markets. The updates include the latest iterations of the Tongyi Qianwen family of LLMs, such as the Qwen 2.5 series, and cutting-edge multimodal AI models like the Qwen-VL series and Tongyi Wanxiang, focused on visual generation. These innovations are now available to developers globally via APIs on Alibaba's generative AI development platform, Model Studio. APIs facilitate efficient application development by allowing data synchronization across platforms without the need to start coding from scratch.

Emphasizing the company's commitment, Guo Dongliang, vice-president of international business and head of international products and solutions at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, remarked, "Alibaba Cloud is committed to delivering real value to global developers through cutting-edge AI models, enhanced cloud infrastructure and accessible support programmes."

Future Plans
