Rising Costs of Raw Materials and High-End Equipment Drive Up Prices of Carpets
Firstly, the cost of raw materials such as wool and nylon has increased, which has led to an increase in manufacturing costs. Additionally, the weak Australian dollar has made it more expensive for manufacturers to import machinery and equipment, further driving up the cost of production.
Furthermore, there has been an increase in demand for premium quality carpets, which has resulted in manufacturers investing in high-end production equipment and advanced manufacturing processes. This has also contributed to the rise in prices.
Industry experts believe that the demand for carpets will remain strong despite the price increase, as they offer numerous benefits such as insulation, noise reduction, and added comfort.
