In 2023, the amount of lamp holders, plugs and sockets imported into Australia declined dramatically to 215M units, which is down by -17.2% against 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at 742M units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
