Price of Zinc Ores and Concentrates Hits Lowest Point at $962 per Ton in Brazil

Brazil Zinc Ore Import Price in June 2023

In June 2023, the zinc ore price amounted to $962 per ton (CIF, Brazil), falling by -12.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a noticeable contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 19% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,510 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Peru.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Peru amounted to -3.7% per month.
