Bullish Global, a cryptoasset exchange operator backed by influential figures including billionaire Peter Thiel, is contemplating an initial public offering (IPO) as early as this year, according to insiders. Bloomberg reports that the company has enlisted the expertise of Jefferies Financial Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. to potentially facilitate this transformative step.

The move to go public could see Bullish becoming part of a rising tide of crypto firms planning IPOs, driven by anticipated favorable conditions under President Donald Trump's administration. Led by CEO Tom Farley, the company operates from multiple international locations, including the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Gibraltar, and the Cayman Islands. Bullish's strategic acquisition of media outlet CoinDesk from Digital Currency Group last year further solidifies its presence in the digital currency ecosystem.

Bullish, a subsidiary of Block.one, was founded in 2021 by Brendan Blumer, who infused the venture with approximately $10 billion in digital assets and cash. While initial investors such as Alan Howard have since exited, Thiel, Louis Bacon, and Richard Li remain key backers.
