Coca-Cola Set for Strong Quarter with Market Share Gains Over PepsiCo

Coca-Cola is poised to report another strong quarter as it continues to gain market share over its rival PepsiCo. According to a report from Yahoo Finance, the beverage giant is set to release its fourth-quarter earnings and 2025 guidance before the market opens on Tuesday. Wall Street projections suggest a Q4 revenue of $10.67 billion with earnings per share anticipated at $0.52.

Despite a projected 0.21% decline in unit case volume growth, Coca-Cola is expected to see a price/mix increase of 6.71%, as per data from the IndexBox platform. Analysts from Bank of America and UBS are optimistic about Coca-Cola's performance, highlighting the company's ability to maintain steady organic revenue growth amid various economic headwinds. This growth is reflected in Coca-Cola shares rising 7% over the past year, a notable contrast to PepsiCo's 16% decline, although it still trails behind the S&P 500's 20% gain.

Significant attention is also being placed on Coca-Cola's operations in the Latin American market as analysts, including Bryan Spillane of Bank of America, anticipate improvements by the end of the year. With the strengthening dollar affecting international markets, Coca-Cola's CEO, James Quincey, remains committed to leveraging other strategies to counteract any adverse impacts on earnings.

Further challenges are highlighted with potential tariff and inflation impacts on agricultural commodities like orange juice. However, CFRA analyst Garrett Nelson points out potential growth drivers, such as enhanced sales in emerging markets and the introduction of newer products, including Coke Energy and AHA flavored sparkling water. Despite risks like foreign currency fluctuations and limited product diversification, Coca-Cola's partnerships with fast-food giants such as McDonald's are expected to boost its position, as Costco plans to revert to Coca-Cola for its food court services.
