Covalis, a potential investor, argues that more information and interaction with the Thames Water management are necessary to proceed.

Thames Water, hamstrung by over £16 billion in debt, is scrambling to secure a loan from senior creditors to avoid insolvency. The company's efforts to find new owners and restructure its finances have been marred by credibility concerns. Class B bondholders, including Covalis and other stakeholders, have expressed dissatisfaction with the current restructuring strategy, citing it as a barrier to meaningful recovery.

The high-profile dispute between creditors has highlighted concerns over the control dynamics within Thames Water. Covalis voiced apprehensions that senior creditors are pursuing their own agenda outside the official Rothschild-managed process, potentially sidelining other investors. Thames Water's financial burden is further exacerbated by expected advisory fees nearing £200 million by mid-year, as efforts continue to secure new investors and reduce liabilities.
