France Headphone Import Price in January 2023
In January 2023, the headphone price amounted to $4.7 per unit (CIF, France), which is down by -38% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a pronounced reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 53% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $7.6 per unit in December 2022, and then fell remarkably in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2023, the country with the highest price was Ireland ($26.5 per unit), while the price for the Netherlands ($2.8 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to January 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

France Headphone Imports
In January 2023, approximately 16M units of headphones were imported into France; picking up by 37% on the month before. Overall, total imports indicated a perceptible expansion from January 2022 to January 2023: its volume increased at an average monthly rate of +4.9% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on January 2023 figures, imports increased by +2.7% against August 2022 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 when imports increased by 71% month-to-month. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in January 2023.

In general, total imports indicated tangible growth from January 2022 to January 2023: its value increased at an average monthly rate of +2.3% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on January 2023 figures, imports decreased by -14.8% against December 2022 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 when imports increased by 22% month-to-month. Imports peaked at 88M units in December 2022, and then reduced in the following month.

In January 2023, the Netherlands (8.8M units) constituted the largest supplier of headphone to France, with a 55% share of total imports. Moreover, headphone imports from the Netherlands exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (3.4M units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Germany (714K units), with a 4.5% share.
From January 2022 to January 2023, the average monthly growth rate of volume from the Netherlands amounted to +13.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average monthly rates of imports growth: China (+3.4% per month) and Germany (-3.7% per month).
