France Safety Glass Import Price in March 2023
In March 2023, the safety glass price stood at $36.4 per square meter (CIF, France), rising by 6.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2022 an increase of 20% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $41,115 per thousand square meters. From September 2022 to March 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Poland ($65.5 per square meter), while the price for Luxembourg ($19.8 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

The total import volume increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7% over the period from March 2022 to March 2023; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain months. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2022 when imports increased by 54% m-o-m. Imports peaked at 1.6M square meters in June 2022; afterwards, it flattened through to March 2023.

The total import value increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8% over the period from March 2022 to March 2023; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain months. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2022 when imports increased by 39% against the previous month. Imports peaked in March 2023.

Germany (384K square meters), Belgium (335K square meters) and Spain (150K square meters) were the main suppliers of safety glass imports to France, with a combined 55% share of total imports.
