France Sorbitol Export Price in October 2022
In October 2022, the sorbitol price amounted to $987 per ton (FOB, France), increasing by 6.9% against the previous month. Over the last nine months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2022 an increase of 7.2% against the previous month. The export price peaked in October 2022.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Argentina ($1,204 per ton), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($575 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to October 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Argentina (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
France Sorbitol Exports
In October 2022, the amount of sorbitol (excluding d-glucitol) exported from France stood at 13K tons, increasing by 2.3% on the previous month. The total export volume increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3% over the period from January 2022 to October 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain months.
