Germany Telephone Import Price in January 2023
In January 2023, the telephone price amounted to $40.9 per unit (CIF, Germany), waning by -7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a slight slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2022 when the average import price increased by 33% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $91.0 per unit in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to January 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($126 per unit), while the price for Vietnam ($12.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to January 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+9.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Germany Telephone Imports
In January 2023, imports of telephones and videophones into Germany shrank to 485K units, dropping by -13% compared with December 2022. Overall, imports showed a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2022 when imports increased by 60% m-o-m. Imports peaked at 775K units in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to January 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

In January 2023, China (213K units) constituted the largest telephone supplier to Germany, accounting for a 44% share of total imports. Moreover, telephone imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Malaysia (88K units), twofold.
