Henderson Land Development Unveils Major Housing Initiatives

Henderson Land Development has announced plans to introduce 12 new property projects totaling 5,400 units this year, driven by the expectation of a property price rebound in the latter half of the year. According to a recent report, the company cites strong buyer demand and reduced interest rates as catalysts for this optimism.

Among these developments, phase two of Belgravia Place in Cheung Sha Wan, featuring 248 units, is anticipated to launch this month, revealed Thomas Lam Tat-man, general manager of the sales department. Additionally, a 300-unit project at Nam Kok Road in Kowloon City is slated for launch in the first quarter, as stated by Mark Hahn Ka-fai, another general manager of sales. Furthermore, the construction of a 2,060-unit development at 18 Shing Fung Road in Kai Tak is also part of the extensive plan.

Other notable projects include two phases comprising 881 units at 72 To Kwa Wan Road, 240 units at MidTown South phase C1 in Hung Hom, and an upscale project at 29A Lugard Road on The Peak. Lam expressed confidence in the substantial housing demand, suggesting that reduced interest rates will lead to lower mortgage repayments and attract more investors to the property market.

According to forecasts provided by the IndexBox platform, housing trends are supported by consistent demand metrics, with the number of primary transactions estimated to reach 20,000 this year. Lam emphasized that the initial half of the year could mark a pivotal moment for the property market, with expectations that property prices will see an upward shift in the latter half of the year.
