Incyte Shares Decline Amid Disappointing Sales Forecast

Incyte Corp's (INCY) stock was among the largest decliners on the S&P 500 this Monday, following a disappointing sales forecast for its key medications. According to an article, the biopharmaceutical company's fourth-quarter adjusted profit and future sales projections for 2025 failed to meet analysts' expectations.

In the fourth quarter, Incyte reported sales of $1.18 billion, marking a 16% increase year-over-year. This figure surpassed estimates from Visible Alpha, thanks to robust sales growth of its two leading drugs, Jakafi and Opzelura, which saw increases of 11% to $773.1 million and 48% to $161.6 million, respectively. Despite this growth, the company's adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.43, while an improvement from last year's $1.06, fell 10 cents short of analyst predictions.

Moving forward, Incyte's outlook for Jakafi and Opzelura sales also disappointed market expectations. The company projects Jakafi sales between $2.925 billion and $2.975 billion for 2025 and anticipates Opzelura sales ranging from $630 million to $670 million. Analysts had predicted these figures to be approximately $3.34 billion and $672.2 million, respectively.

The stock's market performance reflects investor concerns, as shares of Incyte dropped more than 6% on Monday afternoon, though they have experienced a 20% increase over the past year.
