Chewing Gum Prices in India Experience Surge Due to Rising Costs of Raw Materials, Packaging, and Transportation, Along with Increased Demand
Chewing gum prices in India have seen a notable increase over the last two months. The reason for this surge in price can be attributed to several factors, including rising costs of raw materials and packaging, higher transportation costs, and increased demand for chewing gum in India.
The cost of raw materials such as sugar, corn syrup and latex have been steadily increasing in price, making it more expensive for chewing gum manufacturers to produce their products. Additionally, packaging costs have also risen due to the scarcity of certain materials, such as aluminium foil used for packaging.
Transportation costs have also been on the rise, with fuel prices increasing steadily. This has impacted shipping and delivery costs, which are then passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices.
Finally, the demand for chewing gum in India has grown significantly in recent years, leading to an increase in price. With more and more consumers purchasing chewing gum as a quick and refreshing snack option, the demand for the product has skyrocketed.
