The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Vietnam ($93M), Bangladesh ($77M) and India ($74M) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2024, together comprising 21% of global imports. The United States, Russia, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Uzbekistan and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 24%.

The United Arab Emirates, with a CAGR of +22.2%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices By Country

In 2024, the average industrial automatic sewing machine import price amounted to $465 per unit, with a decrease of -2.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a noticeable shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 15% against the previous year. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, China ($1.1B) remains the largest industrial automatic sewing machine supplier worldwide, comprising 74% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Taiwan (Chinese) ($40M), with a 2.8% share of global exports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 1.6% share.
