Integra Resources Shares Surge After Record Gold Production

Integra Resources saw a significant surge in its share value on Thursday, thanks to the announcement of unprecedented fourth-quarter and full-year gold production results from its key asset, the Florida Canyon mine in Nevada. According to mining.com, Integra reported a total production of 72,229 ounces of gold for 2024, representing the highest annual output at the mine in over two decades.

This notable production figure includes a contribution of 21,278 ounces from the fourth quarter alone. Impressively, this year also marked Integra's first full year of reported production after having acquired Florida Canyon midway through 2024.

The positive production results led to a 12% rise in Integra Resources' shares in New York trading, thus lifting its market capitalization to $288 million. The company attributed the enhanced production capacity to the construction and commissioning of the new Phase III-A South Heap Leach Pad, along with upgrades in solution processing systems.

In line with these developments, Integra announced the implementation of a gold price protection program for Florida Canyon's 2025 production. This strategic move includes the purchase of put options, setting a floor price for gold while allowing the company to benefit from potential price increases. The program covers 37,800 ounces with a strike price of $2,400 per ounce, distributed evenly throughout the year, securing approximately 54% of the projected 2025 gold ounces for sale at Florida Canyon.

By the end of 2024, Integra reported an unaudited cash balance of $52 million, securing a robust financial position. The Florida Canyon mine boasts a rich operational history, having been active since 1986 and resuming operations in mid-2016 after periods of intermittent activity.

Beyond Florida Canyon, Integra's project portfolio features promising ventures like the DeLamar and Nevada North development projects, both targeting outputs of over 250,000 ounces of gold equivalent each year at competitive all-in sustaining costs, as indicated by data from IndexBox's platform.
