Sarah Franklin, CEO of Lattice, underscores the fact that balancing a human and AI workforce demands careful consideration. Her company's attempt last year to treat AI systems as full-fledged employees sparked controversy, leading to a temporary halt in their plans. But the discussion at Davos indicates that such bold moves might soon become necessary as businesses seek tangible returns on AI investments.

The Rise of Agentic AI

The concept of agentic AI, which refers to AI systems capable of making decisions independently, is gaining traction as companies aim to enhance productivity and streamline operations. Alan Flower from HCLTech and other industry leaders highlight the complexities of managing both human and agentic workforces, suggesting that AI managers could soon become indispensable.
