The Zaporizhzhia-based enterprises of the Metinvest Group, comprising Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhvognetryv, Zaporizhkoks, and the Zaporizhzhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant, reported a significant increase in their tax contributions for 2024, with a total payment of approximately UAH 3 billion. According to the company's press release, this marks a 35% year-on-year increment in their taxes and fees to various levels of government budgets.
In 2024, the Metinvest Group, when including associates and joint ventures, elevated its total tax and duty payments to the Ukrainian budgets to UAH 19.8 billion, which is 36% above the 2023 figures. The previous year, the group had contributed UAH 14.6 billion in taxes, with substantial portions coming from a single social contribution of UAH 3.3 billion, income taxes of UAH 3.2 billion, and personal income taxes exceeding UAH 3 billion.
Local budgets in Zaporizhzhia benefited from more than UAH 1 billion in revenue generated by Metinvest's enterprises in 2024, reflecting a 30% increase over the 2023 contributions. Significant tax deductions were observed in personal income tax and social contribution categories, with environmental and land taxes, along with military duties, also constituting notable shares of the tax deductions.
