In an unprecedented achievement, Netflix recorded the most streamed NFL games ever in the U.S. during the Christmas Day matchups, as reported by CNBC. According to Nielsen, nearly 65 million viewers across the nation tuned in to watch the two NFL games, which Netflix held exclusive rights to broadcast.

The Baltimore Ravens' triumph over the Houston Texans drew an average of 24.3 million viewers, while the Kansas City Chiefs' victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers averaged 24.1 million viewers. The viewership during the Ravens vs. Texans game surged to over 27 million during Beyoncé's captivating halftime performance.

Netflix's Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria expressed delight, stating, "Bringing our members this record-breaking day of two NFL games was the best Christmas gift we could have delivered."

The NBA also experienced a viewer surge on Christmas Day, achieving its highest viewership in five years, with an average of 5.25 million viewers per game across five games. The Los Angeles Lakers faced the Golden State Warriors in a game that garnered an average of 7.76 million viewers, peaking at 8.32 million.

This boost is promising for the NBA, which has been grappling with lower viewership numbers throughout the year. The games aired on Disney's platforms, including ABC, ESPN, and Disney+.
