Poland Curtains Export Price in March 2023
In March 2023, the curtains price amounted to $4.7 per square meter (FOB, Poland), picking up by 10% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded mild growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2022 when the average export price increased by 12% month-to-month. The export price peaked in March 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In March 2023, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($8.2 per square meter), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($2.4 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2022 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In March 2023, overseas shipments of curtains and interior blinds increased by 12% to 5.2M square meters, rising for the third month in a row after three months of decline. In general, exports, however, recorded a mild slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2022 when exports increased by 18% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at 5.9M square meters in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to March 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, curtains exports soared to $24M (IndexBox estimates) in March 2023. Overall, exports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at 25M square meters in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to March 2023, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, curtains (including drapes) and interior blinds, curtain or bed valances; of synthetic fibres, not knitted or crocheted ($18M) remains the largest type of curtains exported from Poland, comprising 75% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by curtains (including drapes) and interior blinds, curtain or bed valances; of textile materials other than cotton or synthetic fibres, not knitted or crocheted ($2.5M), with a 10% share of total exports. It was followed by curtains (including drapes) and interior blinds, curtain or bed valances; of cotton, not knitted or crocheted, with a 6.3% share.
