Poland Peanut Butter Export Price in February 2023
In February 2023, the peanut butter price amounted to $2,773 per ton (FOB, Poland), rising by 2% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 8% month-to-month. The export price peaked in February 2023.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In February 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Romania ($3,068 per ton) and Slovakia ($2,918 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($2,207 per ton) and the Netherlands ($2,222 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From February 2022 to February 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Poland Peanut Butter Exports
In February 2023, overseas shipments of peanut butter and prepared or preserved groundnuts decreased by -1.2% to 2.6K tons, falling for the third month in a row after two months of growth. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2022 with an increase of 30% month-to-month.
In value terms, peanut butter exports reached $7.1M (IndexBox estimates) in February 2023. Overall, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2022 with an increase of 25% against the previous month.
Poland Peanut Butter Exports by Country
Germany (689 tons), the Czech Republic (449 tons) and Romania (305 tons) were the main destinations of peanut butter exports from Poland, together comprising 57% of total exports. Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Spain and Austria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 26%.
From February 2022 to February 2023, the biggest increases were in the Netherlands (with a CAGR of +13.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($1.8M), the Czech Republic ($1.2M) and Romania ($936K) appeared to be the largest markets for peanut butter exported from Poland worldwide, with a combined 55% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Bulgaria, Slovakia, Spain, the Netherlands and Austria, which together accounted for a further 23%.
