Wooden Office Furniture Price in Poland Grows to $47.9 per Unit

Poland Wooden Office Furniture Export Price in February 2023

In February 2023, the wooden office furniture price amounted to $47.9 per unit (FOB, Poland), surging by 6.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2022 an increase of 12% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $48.5 per unit in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to February 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In February 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($68.2 per unit), while the average price for exports to Italy ($35.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2022 to February 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Poland Wooden Office Furniture Exports

In February 2023, the amount of wooden furniture of a kind used in offices exported from Poland reduced to 449K units, with a decrease of -11.2% on January 2023. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2022 with an increase of 19% against the previous month. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 726K units. From April 2022 to February 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, wooden office furniture exports contracted to $21M (IndexBox estimates) in February 2023. Overall, exports recorded a mild decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 with an increase of 10% m-o-m. The exports peaked at 29M units in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to February 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Poland Wooden Office Furniture Exports by Country

Germany (151K units) was the main destination for wooden office furniture exports from Poland, accounting for a 34% share of total exports. Moreover, wooden office furniture exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Sweden (53K units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by France (35K units), with a 7.9% share.

From February 2022 to February 2023, the average monthly rate of growth in terms of volume to Germany amounted to -1.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average monthly rates of exports growth: Sweden (-0.4% per month) and France (-2.6% per month).

In value terms, Germany ($6.7M) remains the key foreign market for wooden office furniture exports from Poland, comprising 31% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Sweden ($2.5M), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by France, with a 9% share.

From February 2022 to February 2023, the average monthly rate of growth in terms of value to Germany totaled -1.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average monthly rates of exports growth: Sweden (-0.8% per month) and France (-2.6% per month).
