Turkey, India and Vietnam Benefit from Rising American Carpet and Rug Imports

Last year, the U.S. ramped up imports of carpets and rugs by +11% to 796K tons. In value terms, imports reached $2.9B. Turkish, Indian and Chinese supplies comprise approximately 79% of American carpet and rug imports. In 2020, most of the import increment was provided by boosting purchases from Turkey, India, Egypt and Vietnam. Vietnam became the fastest-growing exporter of carpets and rugs to the U.S.
