In January 2023, the U.S. maize starch export price surged by 9.2% to $970 per ton. The UK had the highest export price at $2,309 per ton while Mexico had the lowest at $697 per ton. Maize starch exports from the U.S. rose by 6.9% to 17K tons, valued at $16M. Mexico was the main destination, accounting for 64% of total exports, followed by Canada at 3.7K tons. From January 2022 to January 2023, exports to the UK recorded the highest rate of growth at +19.2%.
