Total EU mango, mangosteen and guava imports expanded to 1.1B, rising by 14% y-o-y in 2020. This growth was primarily driven by increased supplies to Spain, Germany and Poland at the higher average import price compared to the previous year. At the same time, imports to the Netherlands declined. The Netherlands leads in mango imports with a 39% share of the total imports to the EU, acting as an entry logistics point to the European market. Germany and France constitute major mango export destinations from the Netherlands. Brazil and Peru remain the major mango, mangosteen and guava suppliers to the EU.
