									In the past decade, American protein concentrate exports doubled, reaching $873M in 2020. Last year, protein concentrate exports from the U.S. decreased slightly in physical terms. In value terms, the supplies abroad remained relatively unchanged against the previous year. Canada, Mexico and the Netherlands constitute the major importers of American proteins, with a combined 36%-share of the total exports from the U.S. Among other countries, Switzerland recorded the highest spike in imports in 2020. The average U.S. export price for protein concentrates soared by +15% y-o-y to $6,578 per ton in 2020.
