In the past decade, athletic footwear imports into the U.S. increased sixfold, from $531M to $3.2B. Vietnam, China and Indonesia constitute the key athletic footwear exporters to the U.S., supplying 94% of the American imports. In value terms, Indonesia recorded the highest growth rate of exports to the U.S. among the largest suppliers. The average athletic footwear import price rose at an average annual rate of +1.6% over the last decade.
