Riyad Capital Considers 2025 IPO with $2.5 Billion Valuation

Saudi Arabian lender Riyad Bank is collaborating with JPMorgan Chase & Co. on the potential initial public offering (IPO) of its investment banking arm, Riyad Capital. According to a report by Bloomberg, shares could be made available to the public as soon as mid-2025, with the company possibly reaching a valuation of around $2.5 billion.

No definitive decisions regarding the size and precise timeline of the IPO have been made, as deliberations continue. While Riyad Capital and JPMorgan representatives opted not to comment, these proposed moves reflect a robust IPO pipeline in Saudi Arabia. In 2024, firms raised over $4 billion in new share sales, and the projections for 2025 remain equally promising.

Recently, the Saudi financial regulator authorized the IPO of another financial entity, Derayah Financial Co., in collaboration with HSBC Holdings Plc, aiming for a valuation of about $2 billion. Several other companies, including Ejada Systems Ltd. and Flynas, have lined up for public listings as well.

The Public Investment Fund (PIF), being Riyad Bank's largest shareholder, is orchestrating listings for several portfolio companies as part of its strategy to support Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman's economic diversification plans. With a slew of IPOs anticipated, the Kingdom's financial landscape is bracing for transformative growth in the nearing years.
