SoftBank's Potential $25 Billion Investment in OpenAI

This joint venture aims to deploy $100 billion towards constructing data centers and other AI infrastructure, ultimately projecting a commitment of $500 billion over the course of four years. The leaders of SoftBank and OpenAI, Masayoshi Son and Sam Altman, respectively, share a longstanding connection through their mutual interest in AI advancements.

SoftBank's intended direct investment in OpenAI would range between $15 billion and $25 billion, supplementing its already pledged $15 billion to Project Stargate, as revealed by sources with direct knowledge of the matter.
