As reported by Yahoo Finance, approximately 8,000 gold bars, representing around 2% of the Bank's total stock, have been moved out over the past few months.

Sir Dave Ramsden, a deputy governor of the Bank, disclosed that the institution has faced a surge of requests following a significant rise in gold prices on the New York futures market, surpassing the London cash price. This price disparity has prompted traders to secure withdrawals, leading to a wait time that has extended from just a few days to several weeks.

Market Dynamics and Trade Concerns
