Turkey Ceramic Tile Export Price in July 2022
In July 2022, the ceramic tile price amounted to $8.1 per square meter (FOB, Turkey), remaining stable against the previous month. Over the period from January 2022 to July 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.4%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2022 an increase of 13% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $8.2 per square meter in June 2022, and then contracted slightly in the following month.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In July 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to the United States ($8.6 per square meter) and France ($8.4 per square meter), while the average price for exports to Syrian Arab Republic ($6.6 per square meter) and the Netherlands ($7.0 per square meter) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to July 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Turkey Ceramic Tile Exports
In July 2022, ceramic tile exports from Turkey declined notably to 9.3M square meters, with a decrease of -35.5% compared with the month before. Overall, exports showed a perceptible downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2022 with an increase of 22% month-to-month. The exports peaked at 18M square meters in April 2022; however, from May 2022 to July 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, ceramic tile exports contracted notably to $76M (IndexBox estimates) in July 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2022 when exports increased by 37% against the previous month. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $144M. From May 2022 to July 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
Turkey Ceramic Tile Exports by Country
Germany (1.6M square meters), the United States (1.6M square meters) and the UK (988K square meters) were the main destinations of ceramic tile exports from Turkey, together accounting for 46% of total exports. Israel, Syrian Arab Republic, Belgium, Canada, France, Romania, Finland, Cyprus, the Netherlands and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 36%.
From January 2022 to July 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Finland (with a CAGR of +15.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for ceramic tile exported from Turkey were the United States ($14M), Germany ($13M) and the UK ($7.2M), with a combined 45% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Israel, Belgium, Canada, France, Syrian Arab Republic, Romania, Cyprus, Finland, the Netherlands and Bulgaria, which together accounted for a further 33%.
Among the main countries of destination, Finland, with a CAGR of +15.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
