United Kingdom Aircraft Tyre Export Price in March 2023
In March 2023, the aircraft tyre price stood at $1,014 per unit (FOB, United Kingdom), picking up by 16% against the previous month. Over the period from March 2022 to March 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 an increase of 24% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure in March 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($1,722 per unit), while the average price for exports to New Zealand ($478 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2022 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+11.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

United Kingdom Aircraft Tyre Exports
In March 2023, overseas shipments of tyres for aircraft were finally on the rise to reach 6K units for the first time since December 2022, thus ending a two-month declining trend. Overall, total exports indicated mild growth from March 2022 to March 2023: its volume increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2023 figures, exports increased by +15.4% against February 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2022 when exports increased by 39% m-o-m. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 8.9K units. From August 2022 to March 2023, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, aircraft tyre exports soared to $6.1M (IndexBox estimates) in March 2023. In general, total exports indicated a notable increase from March 2022 to March 2023: its value increased at an average monthly rate of +3.1% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2023 figures, exports increased by +34.0% against February 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 with an increase of 61% m-o-m. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $7.6M. From November 2022 to March 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
United Kingdom Aircraft Tyre Exports by Country
The United States (1.4K units) was the main destination for aircraft tyre exports from the UK, accounting for a 23% share of total exports. Moreover, aircraft tyre exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United Arab Emirates (650 units), twofold. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (437 units), with a 7.2% share.
From March 2022 to March 2023, the average monthly growth rate of volume to the United States totaled -1.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average monthly rates of exports growth: the United Arab Emirates (+28.9% per month) and Germany (+1.4% per month).
In value terms, the largest markets for aircraft tyre exported from the UK were the United States ($1M), the United Arab Emirates ($722K) and Saudi Arabia ($678K), together comprising 39% of total exports. These countries were followed by Germany, Italy, Kenya, France, New Zealand, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Africa and Spain, which together accounted for a further 40%.
Kenya, with a CAGR of +34.7%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
