This could significantly influence market dynamics, particularly considering the anticipated updates on the fourth-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) and the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) inflation data.

Key Economic Indicators

In terms of GDP, the Atlanta Federal Reserve projects a 3% growth for the fourth quarter of 2024, surpassing the 2.8% growth observed in the previous quarter. On Friday, investors will closely monitor the PCE price index, which will indicate whether inflation continued its upward trend in December, following a rise to an annual rate of 2.4% in November.
