Vivendi Entities Debut on Major European Stock Exchanges

Vivendi's recently spun-off entities, Canal+, Havas, and Louis Hachette Group, began trading today on the stock exchanges in London, Amsterdam, and Paris respectively. As reported by Yahoo Finance, this move follows a decisive shareholder vote on December 9th in favor of the high-profile split project.

Canal+ makes its debut in London, marking the largest new listing on the London Stock Exchange in two years. The decision to list in London, initially announced in July, provides a significant boost to the UK stock market, which has witnessed more exits than entries in recent years. British finance minister Rachel Reeves lauded this as a "vote of confidence" in the UK market.

Meanwhile, Havas, the advertising giant, has commenced trading on Euronext Amsterdam with a reference price of 1.79 euros, implying a valuation of approximately 1.78 billion euros (or $1.87 billion). Louis Hachette, the publishing arm, has joined Euronext Growth Paris with a reference price of 1.12 euros, valuing it at around 1.1 billion euros. IndexBox data aligns with J.P. Morgan analysts' valuation estimates, which place Canal+ at around 6 billion euros, Havas at 2.5 billion euros, and Louis Hachette at 2.2 billion euros.

Vivendi, free from its spun-off companies, continues trading on Euronext Paris as a part of the CAC40 index for now, as per supervisory board chairman Yannick Bollore. However, there are indications that it may exit the index at a later date.
