According to a report by Reuters, the company's inability to secure additional funding to sustain day-to-day operations prompted this decisive move.

Despite financial backing from industry giants like Mercedes-Benz and Honeywell, Volocopter has struggled to navigate the capital-heavy demands of bringing its flagship urban air taxi, VoloCity, to market. As companies across the eVTOL arena gear up for commercial operations, the financial strain is evident.
