U.S. Washing and Drying Machine Import Price July 2022
In July 2022, the average washing and drying machine price amounted to $278 per unit, shrinking by -5.1% against the previous month. Over the last six months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2022 when the average import price increased by 12% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $293 per unit, and then dropped in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2022, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($676 per unit), while the price for Malaysia ($11 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to July 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
U.S. Washing and Drying Machine Import Prices by Type
Prices varied noticeably by the product type; the product with the highest price was washing machines; household or laundry-type, fully-automatic, (of a dry linen capacity not exceeding 10kg) ($380 per unit), while the price for washing machines; household or laundry-type, not fully-automatic, without built-in centrifugal drier, of a dry linen capacity not exceeding 10kg ($47 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to July 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by washing machines; household or laundry-type, not fully-automatic, without built-in centrifugal drier, of a dry linen capacity not exceeding 10kg (+15.9%), while the prices for the other products experienced more modest paces of growth.
U.S. Washing and Drying Machine Imports
Washing and drying machine imports into the United States dropped significantly to 176K units in July 2022, which is down by -22.7% compared with the month before. Overall, imports continue to indicate a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 when imports increased by 33% against the previous month. From January 2022 to July 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the major product types, was attained by washing machines; household or laundry-type, with built-in centrifugal drier, (not fully-automatic), of a dry linen capacity not exceeding 10kg (with a CAGR of +1.7%), while imports for the other products experienced a decline.

U.S. Washing and Drying Machine Imports by Country
Mexico (98K units), China (55K units) and South Korea (5.1K units) were the main suppliers of washing and drying machine imports to the United States, together comprising 89% of total imports. These countries were followed by Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and Malaysia, which together accounted for a further 8.4%.
From January 2022 to July 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the Czech Republic (with a CAGR of +22.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
