In value terms, China ($5.7B), the United States ($4.6B) and India ($2.6B) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of market value in 2024, together comprising 36% of the global market. Indonesia, Spain, the UK, Pakistan, Brazil, Canada and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 19%.

Among the main consuming countries, Spain, with a CAGR of +7.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of market size over the period under review, while market for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Denmark, with a CAGR of +19.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
