China Acyclic Ethers And Their Halogenated, Sulphonated, Nitrated Or Nitrosated Derivatives Export Price in September 2022
In September 2022, the acyclic ethers and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives price amounted to $1,166 per ton (FOB, China), reducing by -4.4% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a significant curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 when the average export price increased by 2.6% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $8,683 per ton in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to September 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In September 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to the Netherlands ($1,190 per ton) and Malaysia ($1,144 per ton), while the average price for exports to Cambodia ($1,069 per ton) and Singapore ($1,076 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cambodia (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Exports of acyclic ethers and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives from China was estimated at 301K tons in September 2022, growing by 3.8% on the previous month's figure. Over the period under review, exports showed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2022 when exports increased by 611% against the previous month. The exports peaked in September 2022.
In value terms, exports of acyclic ethers and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives contracted slightly to $351M (IndexBox estimates) in September 2022. Overall, exports recorded significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2022 when exports increased by 269% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the exports of attained the maximum at 353K tons in August 2022, and then reduced in the following month.

Singapore (180K tons) was the main destination for exports of acyclic ethers and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives from China, accounting for a 60% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of acyclic ethers and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives to Singapore exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Malaysia (54K tons), threefold. The Netherlands (33K tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with an 11% share.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the average monthly growth rate of volume to Singapore amounted to +216.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average monthly rates of exports growth: Malaysia (+104.7% per month) and the Netherlands (+129.7% per month).
In value terms, Singapore ($194M) remains the key foreign market for acyclic ethers and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives exports from China, comprising 55% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Malaysia ($62M), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with an 11% share.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the average monthly growth rate of value to Singapore totaled +191.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average monthly rates of exports growth: Malaysia (+90.1% per month) and the Netherlands (+85.6% per month).
