Amplifier Prices in China

China Amplifier Export Price in September 2022

In September 2022, the amplifier price amounted to $38.7 per unit (FOB, China), remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Over the period from January 2022 to September 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +6.6%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2022 when the average export price increased by 69% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $39.1 per unit. From March 2022 to September 2022, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was Japan ($99.9 per unit), while the average price for exports to Peru ($6.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (+15.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

China Amplifier Export Prices by Type

Average prices varied somewhat for the major types of exported product. In September 2022, the product with the highest price was electric sound amplifier sets ($47.1 per unit), while the average price for exports of amplifiers; audio-frequency electric amounted to $37.5 per unit.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for the following types: amplifiers; audio-frequency electric (+7.1%).

China Amplifier Exports

In September 2022, the amount of amplifiers exported from China expanded remarkably to 4.4M units, with an increase of 10% compared with August 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2022 with an increase of 39% against the previous month. The exports peaked at 6.7M units in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to September 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, amplifier exports rose notably to $172M (IndexBox estimates) in September 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a mild increase from January 2022 to September 2022: its value increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3% over the last eight-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, exports increased by +73.9% against February 2022 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2022 when exports increased by 34% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in September 2022.

China Amplifier Exports by Type

Amplifiers; audio-frequency electric (3.9M units) was the largest type of amplifier exported from China, accounting for a 87% share of total exports. Moreover, amplifiers; audio-frequency electric exceeded the volume of the second product type, electric sound amplifier sets (573K units), sevenfold.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the average monthly growth rate of the volume of export of amplifiers; audio-frequency electric stood at -5.2%.

In value terms, amplifiers; audio-frequency electric ($145M) remains the largest type of amplifier exported from China, comprising 84% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by electric sound amplifier sets ($27M), with a 16% share of total exports.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the average monthly growth rate of the export volume of amplifiers; audio-frequency electric totaled +1.5%.

China Amplifier Exports by Country

The United States (802K units) was the main destination for amplifier exports from China, with a 18% share of total exports. Moreover, amplifier exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Philippines (360K units), twofold. India (327K units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 7.4% share.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the average monthly growth rate of volume to the United States stood at +1.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average monthly rates of exports growth: the Philippines (-6.9% per month) and India (-5.0% per month).

In value terms, the United States ($52M) remains the key foreign market for amplifier exports from China, comprising 30% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Japan ($11M), with a 6.6% share of total exports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a 4.7% share.

From January 2022 to September 2022, the average monthly growth rate of value to the United States amounted to +4.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average monthly rates of exports growth: Japan (+0.4% per month) and Vietnam (+4.8% per month).
