U.S. Bambara Bean Import Price in October 2021
In October 2021, the bambara bean price stood at $6,255 per ton (CIF, US), approximately mirroring the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a significant increase. The import price peaked at $6,255 per ton in August 2021; afterwards, it flattened through to October 2021.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($17.2 per kg), while the price for Honduras amounted to $2,190 per ton.
From March 2021 to October 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belize (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
U.S. Bambara Bean Imports
Bambara bean imports into the United States stood at 2.8 tons in October 2021, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Overall, imports continue to indicate a precipitous slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2021 with an increase of 216% month-to-month. As a result, imports reached the peak of 60 tons.
