Bearing Price in South Africa (CIF) - 2023
In February 2023, the average bearing import price amounted to $27.7 per kg, reducing by -15.8% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated moderate growth from February 2022 to February 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.0% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on February 2023 figures, bearing import price decreased by -15.8% against January 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 an increase of 73% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $32.9 per kg in January 2023, and then fell sharply in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($46.8 per kg), while the price for Thailand ($12.4 per kg) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2022 to February 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Bearing Price in South Africa (FOB) - 2023
In February 2023, the average bearing export price amounted to $19.7 per kg, flattening at the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a mild decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 an increase of 10% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $23.9 per kg in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to February 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Zimbabwe ($26.5 per kg), while the average price for exports to Argentina ($14.7 per kg) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2022 to February 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Zimbabwe (-0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Bearing Imports in South Africa
