The average bearing import price stood at $18.9 per kg in March 2023, with a decrease of -3.2% against the previous month. Over the period from March 2022 to March 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 17% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $19.6 per kg in February 2023, and then contracted in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2023, the country with the highest price was Canada ($48.0 per kg), while the price for the Philippines ($4,350 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2022 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Bearing Price in the United States (FOB) - 2023
In March 2023, the average bearing export price amounted to $110 per kg, rising by 11% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a slight expansion. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($207 per kg), while the average price for exports to France ($48.5 per kg) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2022 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Chile (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Bearing Imports in the United States
