U.S. Belt And Bandolier Import Price in July 2022
The average belt and bandolier price stood at $9.2 per unit in July 2022, shrinking by -6.5% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2022 to July 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2022 when the average import price increased by 13% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $10.5K per thousand units. From May 2022 to July 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($48 per unit), while the price for China ($4.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to July 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Cambodia (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
U.S. Belt And Bandolier Imports
In July 2022, approximately 5.4M units of belts and bandoliers were imported into the United States; surging by 11% compared with June 2022 figures. In general, imports, however, saw a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2022 when imports increased by 14% month-to-month. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at 6.3M units in February 2022; however, from March 2022 to July 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, belt and bandolier imports rose to $50M (IndexBox estimates) in July 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2022 when imports increased by 4.9% m-o-m. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at 55M units in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to July 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
U.S. Belt And Bandolier Imports by Country
China (1.3M units), India (1.2M units) and Taiwan (Chinese) (1.1M units) were the main suppliers of belt and bandolier imports to the United States, together accounting for 67% of total imports.
From January 2022 to July 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by India (with a CAGR of +8.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest belt and bandolier suppliers to the United States were Italy ($12M), India ($7.5M) and Taiwan (Chinese) ($7.2M), with a combined 53% share of total imports.
In terms of the main suppliers, Taiwan (Chinese), with a CAGR of +9.4%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
