U.S. Caviar (Salmon) And Caviar Substitutes Import Price per Ton in August 2022
In August 2022, the caviar (salmon) and caviar substitutes price per ton amounted to $21.4K (CIF, US), increasing by 11% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2022 an increase of 30% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $27.0K per ton. From May 2022 to August 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($56.2K per ton), while the price for Belarus ($6.2K per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to August 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+14.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
