In August 2022, the citrus fruits not elsewhere classified price per ton amounted to $1.8K (FOB, US), increasing by 20% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a mild reduction. The export price peaked at $2.0K per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to August 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In August 2022, the country with the highest price was Cayman Islands ($1.8K per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada amounted to $1.6K per ton.
From January 2022 to August 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to New Zealand (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

From March 2022 to August 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, citrus fruits not elsewhere classified exports declined notably to $421K (IndexBox estimates) in August 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a precipitous slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2022 with an increase of 56% against the previous month. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $6.3M. From March 2022 to August 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Cayman Islands (177 tons) was the main destination for citrus fruits not elsewhere classified exports from the United States, with a 75% share of total exports. From January 2022 to August 2022, the average monthly growth rate of volume to Cayman Islands was relatively modest.
