U.S. Dairy Machinery Import Price per Ton in June 2022
In June 2022, the dairy machinery price per ton amounted to $43.4K (CIF, US), jumping by 48% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a perceptible slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2022 when the average import price increased by 63% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $48.2K per ton in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to June 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2022, the country with the highest price was Spain ($96.5K per ton), while the price for France ($10.8K per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to June 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Finland (+280.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
U.S. Dairy Machinery Imports
In July 2022, dairy machinery imports into the United States soared to 54 tons, rising by 134% compared with the previous month's figure. In general, imports showed a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2022 when imports increased by 465% month-to-month.
In value terms, dairy machinery imports soared to $1.7M (IndexBox estimates) in July 2022. Overall, imports saw a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2022 with an increase of 276% month-to-month.
U.S. Dairy Machinery Imports by Country
In June 2022, Canada (17 tons) constituted the largest supplier of dairy machinery to the United States, with a 73% share of total imports. Moreover, dairy machinery imports from Canada exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (4.6 tons), fourfold. Spain (900 kg) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 3.9% share.
From January 2022 to June 2022, the average monthly rate of growth in terms of volume from Canada totaled +55.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average monthly rates of imports growth: Italy (+290.9% per month) and Spain (-40.1% per month).
In value terms, the largest dairy machinery suppliers to the United States were Canada ($526K), Italy ($311K) and Spain ($87K), together accounting for 92% of total imports.
Among the main suppliers, Canada, with a CAGR of +37.7%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
