China Dried Mushroom Export Price in October 2021
In October 2021, the dried mushroom price amounted to $16.5 per kg, therefore (FOB, China), remained relatively stable against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2021 an increase of 5% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $17,111 per ton. From September 2021 to October 2021, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In October 2021, the country with the highest price was France ($27.0 per kg), while the average price for exports to Japan ($14.9 per kg) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to October 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+6.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
China Dried Mushroom Export Prices by Type
Prices varied noticeably by the product type; the product with the highest price was vegetables; mushrooms of the genus agaricus, whole, cut, sliced, broken or in powder but not further prepared, dried ($32.8 per kg), while the average price for exports of vegetables; wood ears (auricularia spp), whole, cut, sliced, broken or in powder but not further prepared, dried ($14.5 per kg) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to October 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for the following types: vegetables; mushrooms of the genus agaricus, whole, cut, sliced, broken or in powder but not further prepared, dried (+4.5%), while the prices for the other products experienced more modest paces of growth.

In October 2021, approximately 7.5K tons of dried mushrooms and truffles were exported from China; rising by 17% on the previous month's figure. China Dried Mushroom Exports by Country
Hong Kong SAR (2K tons), Vietnam (1.5K tons) and Thailand (869 tons) were the main destinations of dried mushroom exports from China, together comprising 58% of total exports. Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Kazakhstan, the United States, Italy, France and Singapore lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 33%.
From January 2021 to October 2021, the biggest increases were in Kazakhstan (with a CAGR of +20.7%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Hong Kong SAR ($33M), Vietnam ($23M) and Thailand ($14M) constituted the largest markets for dried mushroom exported from China worldwide, with a combined 57% share of total exports. Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Kazakhstan, the United States, France, Italy and Singapore lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 34%.
Kazakhstan, with a CAGR of +24.8%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
