U.S. Forage Harvesters and Other Harvesting Machines Import Price in June 2022
In June 2022, the forage harvesters and other harvesting machines price stood at $32K per unit (CIF, US), dropping by -28% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2022 when the average import price increased by 233% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $44K per unit in May 2022, and then dropped markedly in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($186K per unit), while the price for Poland ($1.6K per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to June 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Serbia (+682.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
U.S. Forage Harvesters and Other Harvesting Machines Imports
In August 2022, overseas purchases of forage harvesters and other harvesting machines decreased by -26.6% to 1.2K units for the first time since April 2022, thus ending a three-month rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a strong expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2022 with an increase of 223% month-to-month. Imports peaked at 3.7K units in March 2022; afterwards, it flattened through to August 2022.
In value terms, imports of forage harvesters and other harvesting machines dropped markedly to $38M (IndexBox estimates) in August 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 when imports increased by 66% month-to-month. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs at 59M units in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to August 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Belgium (266 units), Argentina (232 units) and Poland (220 units) were the main suppliers of imports of forage harvesters and other harvesting machines to the United States, together accounting for 53% of total imports.
