China Hazardous and Other Pesticide Export Price in September 2022
In September 2022, the hazardous and other pesticide price stood at $2,351 per ton (FOB, China), dropping by -18.4% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2022 when the average export price increased by 26% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,881 per ton in August 2022, and then reduced rapidly in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Chile ($5,233 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Philippines ($803 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Chile (+23.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
China Hazardous and Other Pesticide Exports
Hazardous and other pesticide exports from China dropped to 1.2K tons in September 2022, which is down by -9.9% against August 2022 figures. Overall, exports recorded a noticeable reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2022 when exports increased by 46% m-o-m. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 1.5K tons. From July 2022 to September 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, hazardous and other pesticide exports declined rapidly to $2.8M (IndexBox estimates) in September 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a noticeable decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2022 with an increase of 45% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at 3.8K tons in August 2022, and then reduced dramatically in the following month.
China Hazardous and Other Pesticide Exports by Country
The United States (234 tons), Peru (125 tons) and Uzbekistan (72 tons) were the main destinations of hazardous and other pesticide exports from China, together accounting for 38% of total exports.
From February 2021 to December 2021, the biggest increases were in Peru (with a CAGR of +51.2%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
It was followed by Peru, with a 6.1% share.
From February 2021 to December 2021, the average monthly rate of growth in terms of value to the United States was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average monthly rates of exports growth: Japan (+4.8% per month) and Peru (+35.2% per month).
